Outreach is crucial in making sure that all the individuals and families who need food and nutrition assistance receive it.  Outreach is done through a variety of activities, products and services including:

• Printed materials and resources
• News and press releases, announcements, findings and reports
• Campaigns, marketing and media promotion (radio, television, billboards, etc.)
• Special events, exhibits & conferences
• Partnerships and strategic initiatives

F&N Outreach Goals:

• Increase awareness of TDA Food and Nutrition child and special nutrition assistance programs
• Reframe public perception of food and nutrition programs 
• Increase participation in food and nutrition programs and services
• Make Texas a healthy-living model for the rest of the country
