TDA has just released the Buy American Survey of Purchases Made During School Year 2025-2026. TDA is seeking input from School Food Authorities (SFAs) about their non-domestic purchases made during SY 2025-2026 so that TDA can:
1. Assess in advance of an Administrative Review conducted during SY 2026-27 the number of SFAs that may be eligible for an accommodation based on non-domestic purchases exceeding the 10% threshold made in SY 2025-26. Note that accommodations for SY 2025-2026 will only be granted during the Administrative Review.
2. Identify trends and challenges associated with Buy American requirements.
While SFAs on the review schedule during SY 2026-2027 must complete this survey prior to their reviews, TDA encourages all SFAs to submit this survey so that we may better report to USDA any trends or obstacles to complying with the Buy American provision.
While also linked above, the Buy American Survey can also be accessed at the top of the Policy/ARM page under the Policy Updates and News module.
